Power of Habit

“Do something every day that you don't want to do; this is the golden rule for acquiring the habit of doing your duty without pain.” Mark Twain

I love that quote! The words that jump off the page every time I read it are “every day”. I think one of the keys to experiencing the outcomes we desire in life is our ability to create the right kind of habits.

We live in a world where there is a constant demand for everything. Because of that I believe being dedicated and persistent will buy you a lot of progress toward your goals. Just show up!!!! And keep showing up every day. Keep pushing and working and you will continue to make progress toward your preferred future.

Although motivation for something and having knowledge in a certain area helps, we have come to recognize discipline as the ultimate currency in whatever success we desire. No doubt skills and gifts play a part in our success, but the biggest contributor is our willingness to do the right things over and over again.

The way we develop the right habits is by doing the right things, the right ways, on a consistent basis.
